The OKWU women's basketball team hit the road after a small layover in between games to McPherson, Kansas where they would open up their 2020-21 season conference play against the McPherson College Lady Bulldogs. OKWU fell behind early, but managed to lock in on the defensive end to keep the game close trailing at halftime 29-34. Despite a strong second half, the Eagles could not quite mount a big enough comeback and fell to the Bulldogs 67-79.

Hannah Nealis helped lead the Eagles on the offensive end as she collected 17 points and 4 rebounds. Makayla Watkins also jumped into the mix as she added in 14 points along with 4 assists. Danae Goodwin made her presence known as she had a near double-double with 8 points and 13 rebounds, 5 of those being on the offensive end.

OKWU women's basketball now sits at 1-2 on the season and will prepare to take on Bethel College on the road on Friday, November 13th at 7:00 PM in North Newton, Kansas.
