Box Score OKWU Eagles men's basketball team looked to quickly bounce back following a 91-97 loss on the road in an overtime thriller against Bethel College. They hit the road again to Marion, Indiana to take the #3 ranked team in the nation in the Indiana Wesleyan University Wildcats. The Eagles found themselves in a hole following a string of turnovers midway through the first half and trailed 32-53 at halftime. OKWU did bounce back with strong play in the second half scoring 52 points, but could not overcome the early defict and fell to the Wildcats 84-107.
Brooks Haddock got hot in the second half to lead the Eagles in scoring as he finished the night with 18 points on 6/13 shooting, including his 1000th career point in only 72 career games that came early in the second half. Taylen Miller had another efficient outing as he finish the game with 13 points, 5 ast, 5 rebounds. Janson Lietzke also made his impact felt for OKWU in the paint as he finshed the day with 10 points.
The Eagles now sit at 2-2 on the young 2020-21 season. They will be back in action again on Friday, November 13th traveling to Hillisboro, Kansas to take on the Tabor College Bluejays. The KCAC showdown is set to tip-off at 7:00 PM.
