Boosted by 4 first-half goals, the OKWU Eagles won Tuesday's match with #7 Missouri Valley. A frenetic OKWU attack set the tone early, and a spirited rally late in the second half helped Missouri Valley narrow the gap to tighten it up at near the end of the game.

Recap:

• In the 11^th minute of the game, OKWU's attack finally broke through when Luka Lukic scored a header off a nice assist from Julio Belo.
• Stefan Lukic found the back of the net in the 21^st minute to give the Eagles the 2-0 lead.
• Luka Lukic scored again minutes later thanks to an assist from Filip Cavic.
• Before halftime, Matheus Ferreira joined the scoring ranks, assisted by Stefan Lukic. The Eagles would go into the half with a strong 4-0 lead.
• In the second half, both teams held serve for a while before MVC's Ruben Jimenez scored a goal to put the Vikings on the board.
• The Eagles responded less than a minute later when Jorge Velasco received an excellent pass from Luka Lukic and drilled it for a 5-1 lead.
• The Vikings would not go away quietly, adding two more goals. In the 87^th minute, Luka Gluscevic scored, and a few minutes later Tate Richards scored to narrow the margin to 5-3.

Now the Numbers:

• A strong first half gave OKWU an 11-5 shots advantage. In the second half, the Vikings were able to keep that much closer, as OKWU only led that category by a 8-7 margin.
• Luka Lukic was all over the field, collecting 2 goals on 4 shots and contributing an assist.
• This win marked OKWU's 11^th of the season and their 9^th in a row.
