In Wednesday's semifinal matchup with Kansas Wesleyan, the KCAC regular-season champions took care of business and beat KWU 4-3. OKWU will now play in Saturday's Championship Final, which will take place at 4:00 in Wichita, Kansas.

Recap:

• OKWU jumped out to an early lead when, in the 7^th minute, Marjolen Nekesa received a Laura Maria pass and scored to give the Lady Eagles a 1-0 lead.
• In the 21^st minute, Daniela Ortiz scored after getting the feed from Nekesa, giving OKWU a commanding 2-0 lead.
• However, KWU quickly responded when Viviana Ramirez scored from 30 yards out just a few minutes later, cutting the OKWU lead down 2-1.
• With less than 5 minutes to go in the 1^st half, KWU's Destiny Shaughnessy scored to tie the match at 2.
• OKWU was undeterred, and Laura Maria took the Stacia Spears pass with under a minute in the half and found the back of the net to retake the lead just before the intermission. OKWU led at half 3-2.
• In the 2^nd, Marjolen Nekesa scored her second goal of the day, this time off the assist from Laura Maria. OKWU led 4-2.
• KWU did not go down without a fight, however, and in the 83^rd minute, Destiny Shaughnessy scored another goal, narrowing the gap.
• OKWU's defense did not falter again, however, closing out the last few minutes of the game and securing a 4-3 victory and a spot in the KCAC Championship Final.

• OKWU had a 17-7 shot advantage during the match.
• Kansas Wesleyan was slightly more efficient in their attack, with 6 of their 7 shots being shots on goal. OKWU had 8 shots on goal for the evening.

• OKWU will face off against Southwestern for the KCAC Championship on Saturday, November 13, at 4 p.m. The match will be held at the Stryker Soccer Complex in Wichita, Kansas.
