OKWU Opens 1-0 in the KCAC

A trademark defensive performance from the Eagles made short work of the Tabor Bluejays in Wednesday's KCAC opener. The Eagles won 66-48 to move to 7-0 on the season.

Recap:

  • Tabor's offense was held in check by the Eagles in the first half, managing to shoot just 33.3% from the field in the first twenty minutes.
  • Dylan Phillip scored 10 points in the first half off the bench to give the Eagles some early firepower.
  • At the half, the Eagles led 35-21.
  • Tabor's shooting woes continued, thanks in part to OKWU's tenacious defensive effort. The Bluejays shot just 32.1% in the second half and scored just 27 points.
  • Austin Poling was the go-to man for the Eagles in the second, scoring 10 points on 4-6 shooting after halftime.
  • The Eagles cruised to a 66-48 win.
