The win streak continued for the Lady Eagles on Wednesday night as they powered past Avila in a home KCAC match. OKWU cruised to a 3-set sweep over their conference opponent, powered by a strong offensive attack. OKWU is now 5-5 on the season and winners of their last 4.

Recap:

• After being tied in the first set 12-12, OKWU went on a run. Their lead grew to a 23-14 advantage, and they would end up taking the set 25-18.
• OKWU found a groove in the second set, beating Avila 25-11 and cruising to a 2-0 lead.
• In the third, Avila kept things tight after gaining an early 2-0 advantage, but they were unable to overtake the Lady Eagles again and were defeated 25-19 as OKWU completed the sweep.

Now the Numbers:

• Four Lady Eagles each contributed 7 or more kills: Lauren McKinney (9), Makaila Keith (8), Addie Mathias (7), and Bibi Solorzano (7).
• Mathias was all over the court on the night, recording 18 assists as well. Nicole Bott contributed another 14 assists to the cause.
• Libero Bobana Marusic recorded 16 digs on the evening.
• The Lady Eagles had 38 kills on the night and only 14 attack errors.
