A spirited fourth quarter rally was nearly enough for the Lady Eagles to steal a road win, but KWU held off the OKWU charge and escaped with a victory. The Lady Eagles fall to 10-11 on the season.

Recap:

• OKWU won the first quarter 11-7 as both teams struggled to find any offensive rhythm.
• In the second, Zariah Tillman hit a shot to put the Lady Eagles ahead 16-9 with just over 8 minutes left in the period. KWU and OKWU traded punches for the rest of the half, and when the buzzer sounded, OKWU led 27-24.
• The third quarter was another story, as KWU romped to a 20-point quarter and held the Lady Eagles to just 7 points. Going into the fourth, KWU led 44-34.
• In the fourth, the Lady Eagles came charging back. A quick 6-0 run drew them within 4, but then OKWU went scoreless for the next 3 minutes. With 4:25 left in the period, Cierra Johnson's jumper ended the cold streak and cut the KWU lead to 48-42.
• OKWU would cut it to 50-47 after MaKayla Watkins drilled a 3-pointer, and with under a minute, the Lady Eagles cut the KWU lead to just 1. However, they would not score again and missed a last-second shot. KWU grabbed a 53-51 win.

Now the Numbers:

• Zariah Tillman led the Eagles with 10 points. She added 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 steals in another strong individual performance.
• OKWU shot just 6 for 21 from beyond the arc. They also attempted just 5 free-throws in the game.
• KWU outrebounded the Lady Eagles 46-37. Kelcey Hinz recorded a double-double for KWU, grabbing 13 rebounds to go along with 14 points.
