OKWU Downs Avila to Advance to KCAC Semifinals

OKWU proved quickly why they were the top team in the conference during the regular season, jumping out to a big lead early and never allowing Avila a chance to get close as the Eagles won a wire-to-wire victory, 86-52.

Recap:

  • At the half, the Eagles held a 47-24 lead behind 12 points from the red-hot Lense Ramey, who went 4-6 from beyond the arc in the game's first 20 minutes. OKWU shot nearly 57% from the field in the games opening period and build a lead that was as large as 33.
  • OKWU's strong play continued in the second half as they pressured Avila and saw their lead increase. They won 86-52.

  • OKWU scored 44 points in the paint, while Avila managed just 18.
