Box Score Bartlesville, OK – RV Volleyball was here in Bartlesville the night of October 14th for a huge, Top 3 KCAC match-up with the RV Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes! Looking to move up back up in the KCAC rankings, the Lady Eagles had to take the game from the Coyotes and work through the rest of the regular season conference matches.
Doing just that, the Lady Eagles showed up and showed out on the 14th! Defeating the Coyotes in 3 sets, the Lady Eagles outscored their opponent 25-20, 25-13, 25-21.
Starting the game out on the right foot, the Lady Eagles took a 4-0 lead in the first set, taking the momentum and securing the first set 25-20. Their best set being the second, the lady Eagles were on an absolute tear, outscoring the Coyotes 25-13; as well as hitting .469% throughout the 25 points needed to secure the set. Needing a final set victory, the Lady Eagles rallied together to take the third set 25-21 and the overall win against the RV Coyotes.
A true team effort allowed the Lady Eagles to take the victory, with 5 athletes achieving 6 kills or more throughout the 3 sets. Along with that, the Lady Eagles defense was smooth and consistent, as 9 different Lady Eagles recorded digs on the night, Andjela Micunovic leading the way as libero with 8 digs. Lastly, sophomore setter, Sydney Collins was a key player for the Lady Eagles, ending the night with a whopping 45 assists, 3 digs, and a solo block.
