Box Score Lindsborg, KS – Women's Volleyball was on the road October 21st for a conference match-up with the Bethany College Lady Swedes. Coming into the game with an 8 game win streak, the lady Eagles looked to continue their hot streak. Winning the game in 3 consecutive sets, the Lady Eagles improve to 20-4 on the season and 9-1 in conference.
After falling behind in the first play in the 1st set, the Lady Eagles would then take the lead for the rest of the set, winning the first set 25-17. The very first play of the game was the only time the Lady Eagles trailed the Lady Swedes in the entire game.
Entering the 2nd set, the Lady Eagles took the lead and never looked back. Going on an 8-point run, while never losing back-to-back points more than once, the Lady Eagles rolled through the 2nd set, winning 25-8.
The Lady Eagles took the third the final set 25-10, after two 4-point runs and a single 5-point run. Between the 13 errors by the Lady Swedes and the long runs, the Lady Eagles rolled through their third and final set.
Leading the way for OKWU was Evelyn Rohrberg and Sydney Collins. Rohrberg finished the game with 22 kills and Collins finished with 40 total assists. Additionally, Maddy McKinney and Tijana Stojiljkovic recorded 10 and 9 kills respectively. The back row continued their hot streak with 3 Lady Eagles recording double digit digs: Valeria Perez (16), Andjela Micunovic (14), and Maria Luisa Caycedo (12).
