Box Score Bartlesville, OK –
The #8 Men's Soccer team was in Bartlesville on November 18th as they hosted the 1st & 2nd rounds of the NAIA National Tournament. Looking to face off against a highly competitive LSU Shreveport team, the Eagles were determined to take the game in order to advance to the NAIA National Tournament Final site in Wichita, Kansas.
Entering the match 16-5-1, the LSUS Pilots were fast to the punch and competitive off the pitch. As the Eagles entered the match 16-1-3, both teams knew what was at stake and fought till the very last opportunity.
The Eagles rose above and took the match from the Pilots 1-0, scoring the one and only goal off of a penalty kick in the 71st minute. With 20 minutes left the Eagles were forced to defend their way to victory in order to secure the win.
Doing so, the Eagles defeated the Pilots and move on the final site of the NAIA National Tournament.
