The Lady Eagles resumed conference play after their Thanksgiving break against the University of Saint Mary Spires on Wednesday, November 29th.
Within the first 4 minutes of the game, the Spires put up a quick 12 points through four 3-pointers. As the Lady Eagles gained some momentum offensively, their defense only held the Spires to score 13 points in the second quarter resulting in a 32-32 score going into halftime.
The Lady Eagles quickly gained the lead in the third quarter and looked maintain that lead for the rest of the game. However, after being unable to score during a five-minute stretch, the Spires eventually took the lead back and would hold that lead for the remaining of the game, resulting in a final score of 62-78 in favor of the Lady Spires.
Gracie Alexander showed out for the Lady Eagles, scoring a career high 16 points with 3 steals. Following closely behind Alexander was River Jeffries, scoring 13 points. The bench was a key to the Lady Eagles point drive, as they came off ready to play and gain momentum for the Lady Eagles.
