The Lady Eagles were home for a final game before taking a road trip to Dallas, Texas against the Texas Wesleyan University Lady Eagles on November 6th. Looking to redeem themselves after their previous loss, the Lady Eagles opened up the first quarter of play in back and forth fashion.
Pushing the pace, the Lady Eagles took control early and forced the Lady Rams to keep a fast pace and aggressive stance. Ending the first 10 minutes trailing 16-14, the Lady Eagles were eager in the paint as they outshot the Lady Rams and outrebounded their opponent 11-9. The Lady Rams took control of the game early in the 2nd quarter as the Lady Eagles found themselves unable to find a consistent groove. Ending the first half trailing 36-23, the Lady Eagles needed to come out and dominate the remainder of the game.
Unable to do so, the Lady Eagles ended the game against Texas Wesleyan trailing 68-48. Ty'Najah Mitchell was outstanding for the Lady Eagles throughout her 36 minutes of court time. Scoring 18 points, Mitchell ended her night with 6 good field goals beyond the arc, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists. Along with Mitchell, Rashaan Smith pushed past her opponents in the paint, scoring 10 points in just 15 minutes of court time.
