The #4 Men's Basketball team was on the road to Hillsboro, KS on December 6th for another KCAC matchup against the Tabor College Bluejays. Coming off an end to their 8-game win streak, the Eagles looked to regain momentum in conference play and push forward through the early start to conference play.
For the first 15 minutes of the game, the Bluejays managed to keep the score close and never fell behind by more than 5 points. However, after a couple key shots from Daniel Oluwasuyi and Dylan Phillip, the Eagles took a 40-33 lead and maintained that lead going into the second half.
The Eagles offense continued to add on, scoring 27 points in the first 10 minutes of the second half, keeping the momentum on their side and giving way to their defense. The Eagle's defense made it very difficult for the Bluejays to catch up with them, allowing the Eagles to extend the lead throughout the reminder of the game. The Eagles were able to add another notch to the win column as they improve to 9-1 with their 78-67 win over the Bluejays.
DJ Talton Jr. and Dylan Phililp led the way for the Eagles offensively. Talton Jr. scored 17 points with 6 assists and 2 steals, while Phillip scored 16 points with 5 assists, shooting 50% from behind the arc.
