Box Score Hillsboro, KS -
The Women's Basketball team was on the road in Hillsboro, KS on December 6th for another KCAC matchup against the Tabor College Bluejays. With the win against Southwestern last week, the Lady Eagles looked to gain momentum as they dive deeper into KCAC play.
For the entirety of the first and second quarter, both teams battled to take the lead, pushing through back and forth possession. As soon as the Eagles would score to take the lead, the Bluejays would score to tie the game, and vice versa. The Bluejays managed to take a 2-point lead going into halftime with the score of 24-26.
Things began to switch in the third quarter, which proved to be the most important 10 minutes of the game. After a few fouls from the Lady Eagles, the Bluejays scored 11 points off of free throws, which would later prove to be pivotal in the final score of the game. Although the Lady eagles continued to fight both offensively and defensively in the fourth quarter, they were unable to regain the lead, falling to the Bluejays with a final score of 49-60.
