Box Score 4 Hastings, NE – Spending the weekend at the Hastings College Invitational, the Lady Eagles went on to face four different teams throughout the two days of competition. Ending the weekend 2-2, the Lady Eagles
HIGHLIGHTS
Game 1: OKWU (3-0) vs. College of Saint Mary (3-1) - (35-22, 25-18, 17-25, 22-15, 11-15)
Falling to the Flames, the Lady Eagles took the first two sets of the game; later falling in the final 3 sets. In an all around effort, the Lady Eagles outhit the Flames in the first and second set by an average .102%. Being unable to rally back in the later part of the game, the Lady Eagles took their first loss of the season.
Game 2: OKWU (3-1) vs. Hastings (1-0) – (25-27, 21-25, 23-25)
Facing a tough Hastings team, the Lady Eagles and Lady Broncos were back and forth throughout the 3 sets. Falling in 3, the Lady Eagles kept all three sets close, losing by 4 points in the 2nd set and only 2 points in the other 2 sets.
Game 3: OKWU (3-2) vs. MACU (2-3) – (25-13, 25-22, 25-20)
An early season rematch with the Lady Evangels resulted in a 3 set victory for the Lady Eagles and a good start to the Saturday play. With three Lady Eagles coming together for 9 kills or more, they rose above and bounced back from Friday's games.
Game 4: OKWU (4-2) vs. Culver-Stockton (0-3) – (25-14, 25-9,25-11)
The Lady's came to play against Culvar-Stockton, defeating the Wildcats in 3 sets and not allowing them to score more than 14 points each set. Smooth and controlled, the Lady Eagles were a force on both sides of the court.
