Tania Mocholi Leads Women's Soccer to 2-0 Victory over Southwestern

Winfield, KS – The #6 Lady Eagles were on the road for their first conference game of the season tonight, facing off against the Southwestern College Lady Moundbuilders. Eager to start KCAC play, the Lady Eagles entered the game 2-0-1 on the year, while the Lady Moundbuilders entered 1-3-1.

Scoring the first goal of the game, the Lady Eagles jumped ahead in the 14th minute. A close game heading in to the 2nd half, the Lady Eagles put together a scoring drive in the 80th minute of play to put them up 2-0 and give them the win.

Tania Mocholi was a key player in the win for the Lady Eagles, scoring both goals unassisted and having 6 of her 9 shots on goal. The Lady Eagles offense was strong as they outshot the Lady Moundbuilders 18-3 with 11 shots on goal. Great offense and even better defense as they Lady Eagles only allowed their opponent 1 shot on goal throughout the 90 minutes of play.
