Box Score McPherson, KS – The RV Women's Volleyball team was on the road September 23rd for a conference match-up with the McPherson College Lady Bulldogs. Entering the game 11-4 on the season and 0-1 in conference play, the Lady Eagles looked to earn their first conference win on the year. On the other hand, the Lady Bulldogs entered the match 9-4 overall and in the same boat at the Lady Eagles, being 0-1 in conference play.
All 5 sets being back and forth battles between the two teams, the Eagles went on and rallied back from a 2-set deficit to take the game from the Lady Bulldogs.
Falling in the first set (25-21), the Lady Eagles bounced back in the second set, going on a 7-0 run. This didn't last long for the Lady Eagles as the Lady Bulldogs took the lead as the teams finished the second match 29-27 in favor of the Lady Bulldogs. With their backs against the wall the Lady Eagles showed a strong fight in the next three sets, taking the Lady Bulldogs to extra points and taking the match.
Standout Evelyn Rohrberg made her presence known with 32 kills on the night, while Sydney Collins was superb in the setter role for the Lady Eagles with an outstanding 60 sets.
