The Lady Eagles were back on the road with a matchup against the Bethel Threshers on Saturday, January 13th. Looking to bounce back from the previous weekend, the Lady Eagles sought to add another notch to their win column.
Offensively, both teams performed very well in the first quarter. The Lady Eagles held the lead for the first half of the quarter, but the Threshers soon regained the lead with back-to-back points. The Lady Eagles then struggled offensively in the second quarter, scoring 9 points in 10 minutes of play.
The Lady Eagles were looking to flip the momentum of the game as the third quarter began. Although their offense picked back up, scoring 23 points in the third quarter, the Threshers kept finding ways to score. After another impressive run offensively in the fourth quarter, the Lady Eagles scored a season high of 76 points. Unfortunately, however, it was not enough, resulting in a 76-94 loss.
Zariah Tillman was extremely impressive for the Lady Eagles, scoring 20 points with 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Haley Meely also had herself a game, scoring 16 points with 4 assists.
