Box Score Kansas City, MO -
The Women's basketball team was back on the road to start up the second half of their season against the Avila University Eagles.
After a slow start to the first quarter, the Lady Eagles looked to put up plenty of shots, hoping that would boost their offense. However, struggling to land their shots, the Lady Eagles found themselves trailing Avila 13-23 going into the half.
Although the Lady Eagle defense played well in keeping Avila to 23 points in the first half of the game, they looked to get their offense going in the remaining of the game. Although the third quarter was a little slow for the Lady Eagle offense, things really began to pick up in the fourth quarter. The Lady Eagles were able to go on a hot streak and score 15 points in the remaining 5 minutes of the game, but it unfortunately wasn't enough, resulting in a 42-54 loss.
