No.13 Oklahoma Wesleyan University Volleyball defeated No. 11 Missouri Baptist Univesrity 3-1 on the road on Wednesday the 21
st behind a stellar performance from
Evelyn Rohrberg and
Sydney Collins. Taking the sets as follows, 25-16, 10-25, 25-20, 25-16, the Lady Eagles added another upset to their early record and improve to 3-0 on the season.
Matching the Spartans point for point early in the set, the Lady Eagle were able to pull away with the lead after a 5-point run behind the Lady Eagles offense, allowing them to take the 25-16 set over the Spartans.
The second set was all Missouri Baptist as the Lady Eagles found themselves trailing quickly due to a strong wall at the net as the Spartans put up 5 consecutive points and 5 blocks.
Heading into a 1-1 match, the Lady Eagles were able to adjust quickly in order to stay in the game and found momentum early in the third set. Taking the next two sets, the Lady Eagles defeated the #11 Missouri Baptist and look to keep the momentum heading into the weekend of games.
Evelyn Rohrberg proved once again why she is a force for the Lady Eagles, ending the 4 sets with 21 kills and 2 blocks. Tijana Stojilkovic joined Rohrberg at the net with 4 blocks in 3 sets of play.
Maria Luisa Caycedo and
Jordan Isbell were superb defensively for the Lady Eagles, combining for 2 digs.

The Lady Eagles are back on the road this upcoming weekend for the Bellevue Invitational as thy are set to face off against the Bellevue University Bruins and the #2 Northwestern College (Iowa) Red Raiders.
