 OKWU Men's Basketball headed towards Ottawa University and delivered an impressive performance on the court, securing a well-earned win in a hard-fought game with a final score of 89 to 74. With multiple players stepping up, the team came together to pull off an exciting victory, showing resilience and teamwork throughout the game.Â
Leading the way for the Eagles was
Jensen Knowles, the forward scored a game-high 20 points, shooting an efficient 7-of-12 from the field and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. Eagles guard,
Nick Bene also contributed significantly, adding 15 points in 26 minutes of play. Bene shot 100% from the free-throw line while also collecting five rebounds and dishing out two assists.
Additionally,
Derrick Talton Jr. provided a solid performance as well, finishing with 12 points and 5 assists; while
Jaden Lietzke scored10 points shooting a perfect 4-of-5 from the field and pulling down 7 rebounds.
Overall, the OKWU Eagles played a well-rounded game, outpacing their opponent with balanced scoring, effective defense, and strong rebounding. Their next game will be at home against York University with a tip-off set for 3:00 PM on January 18
