EAGLES WIN!
The OKWU Eagles headed to Hillsboro, Kansas to face off against Tabor College for the second time this season. Going into this match-up the Eagles held a 10-3 conference record and by the end of the game displaying an effective and efficient style of play, defeated Tabor College 88-71. This win put led to an 11-3 conference record, and a 14-6 overall record. In their previous match-up the Eagles put on another great performance defeating tabor 79-66 on November 16
th, 2024. The teamwork and energy of the Eagles continues to drive them forward with this win adding to a 5-game winning streak.
OKWU put on an impressive performance in a dominant 88-71 victory, with several players stepping up across the board. Led by
Jaden Lietzke's standout performance scoring a total of 17 points while adding 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Alongside Lietzke,
Yashi McKenzie also had a solid outing, adding 13 points and pulling down 5 rebounds. McKenzie was an efficient 6-of-9 shooting, while
Isaac Stanek chipped in with 11 points to add to the Eagles momentum.
Amari Woods, coming off the bench, made a significant impact with 12 points, including 3
 made threes, showcasing the depth of Oklahoma Wesleyan's scoring options. Defensively the OKWU shoed affective play makings skills with a total of 11 steals and holding tabor college to shooting under 31% from the arc and holding them at 44% from the field.
The OKWU Eagles continue to build momentum as they move forward in their season, with this well-rounded performance serving as a testament to their depth and versatility. Whether from the starting five or off the bench, the Eagles proved that they are a team to watch as they push toward their goals for the season.
