Women's basketball opened their 2025-2026 season with a road trip to Oklahoma City, OK for a season opening match-up with the Oklahoma City University Stars. Adding new faces to the roster and returning back a strong core, the Lady Eagles looked to start off season on a high note in OKC.

First time back on the court, the Lady Eagles came out strong in the first quarter with multiple drives and strong possessions; outscoring the Lady Starts 16-14 and forcing a lead. Slowing in the second, the Lady Eagles gave way to a small Lady Stars lead as they exited the second quarter.

Looking to make up some room in the second half, the Lady Eagles secured their best of 4 quarters, scoring 17 points and holding the Lady Stars to 15. A lead and 1o minutes to go, the Lady Eagles began to back track as they scored 9 points in the 4th quarter while their opponent went on to score 22.

Falling 69-57, Taliyah Harris led the Lady Eagles on the court, scoring an impressive 21 points in her OKWU debut against the Lady Stars.
