The Oklahoma Wesleyan University women's soccer team continued their postseason success with a 2–0 victory over Tabor College in the KCAC Tournament semifinals on Friday afternoon, advancing to the conference championship match.
After a scoreless first half, Marilia Constantinou opened the scoring in the 54th minute off an assist from Linn Joelsson, giving the Lady Eagles the momentum they needed. Laura Gieseler doubled the lead in the 70th minute with an unassisted goal to secure the win.
Oklahoma Wesleyan dominated throughout the match, outshooting Tabor 19–3 and earning eight corner kicks to Tabor's three. Goalkeeper Alessandra Martinez earned the clean sheet without facing a single shot on goal, while Tabor's Neve Mulrooney made eight saves in a strong effort for the Bluejays.
With the victory, the Lady Eagles (19-1-1, 13-0 KCAC) advance to the KCAC Championship match, where they will face Friends University on Wednesday, November 12, at 1 p.m. at Stryker Sports Complex in Wichita.
