Women's Basketball hosted the York University Lady Panthers on February 14th for a Valentines Senior Day! Coming off of an exciting win over Ottawa University earlier in the week, the Lady Eagles came into the match-up with energy and excitement as they looked to honor their seniors. 

A quick first quarter between the two resulted in a small lead in favor of the Lady Panthers, 18-15. Speeding up the pace of play and creating opportunity in the paint, the Lady Eagles were able to score 19 in the second quarter, while the Lady Panther scored 21. Shortly trailing after the first half, the Lady Eagles were able to come out of the locker room firing, holding the Lady Panthers to just 14 points in the third and tying up the game 63-63 with a whole 10 minutes left to play. Coming to life in the fourth, the Lady Eagles took control of the game and never looked back! 

Taking the win over the Lady Panthers, the Lady Eagles improved to 11-15 on the year and 6-14 in conference play. Gracie Alexander was excellent in the win over York University, scoring 19 points in 37 minutes of play, while shooting 54% from the paint. 

Honoring 6 seniors today, the Lady Eagles look to graduate Khassidy Warr, Khamille Warr, Gracie Alexander, Ashlyn Baker, Lakara Jordan, and Ivonne Morales. All 6 have been key elements to the Lady Eagles program and look to graduate this May. 

The Lady Eagles are back in Mueller Sports Center this upcoming Wednesday as they face off against the Evangel University Lady for their final KCAC game on the year.
