McPherson, KS. —
OKWU men's basketball secured a road win Saturday afternoon, defeating McPherson College 88-83. The win moves the Eagles forward with momentum as they move into postseason play.
The Eagles were electric in the first half, erupting for 55 points and building a commanding lead behind sharp shooting and balanced scoring. McPherson surged late, cutting the deficit to a single possession in the final minute, but the Eagles held firm at the foul line to seal the victory.
The headline of the afternoon belonged to Jaden Wilson, who delivered a career-high 21 points on a hyper-efficient 8-10 from the field. Wilson also knocked down three triples and added three rebounds, providing consistent scoring at every crucial moment.
He was joined in double figures by Nathaniel Law, whose energy off the bench sparked the early run as he poured in 11 points on 5-6 shooting. Ethan Williams and Tamaje Izuagbe each added 10 points, while the Eagles' depth shined with 40 bench points overall.
OKWU dominated the interior with 54 points in the paint and won the rebounding battle 47-27, controlling the glass on both ends to create extra possessions.
McPherson's comeback effort was fueled by Korbin Gunn, who led all scorers with 24 points, but the Eagles' early cushion proved too much to overcome.
