The opening game felt over almost as soon as it began. Oklahoma Wesleyan's bats erupted early and never cooled, burying Sterling under a relentless wave of offense in a 20–4 blowout. The Eagles struck in six different innings and pounded out 17 hits, overwhelming Warrior pitching from the first pitch on.
Wally Diaz delivered a night to remember, launching two home runs and driving in a staggering 10 runs to fuel the rout. Every trip to the plate seemed to bring more damage, and Oklahoma Wesleyan turned the game into a showcase of offensive depth. Oklahoma Wesleyan erased any doubt in game two. The Eagles unleashed another offensive barrage, this time closing the game early with a 17–2 run-rule victory.
The turning point came in the fourth inning, when Oklahoma Wesleyan exploded for seven runs. Daurys Manzanillo brought the highlight moment, launching a grand slam that sucked the remaining energy out of the Sterling dugout. The long ball was the theme all game, as the Eagles left the yard four times and kept the pressure relentless.
Ashton Luera gave the offense more than enough room to work, tossing five scoreless innings while striking out seven. Sterling managed only four hits all afternoon, and Oklahoma Wesleyan walked off the field firmly in control of the series.
Game 3: Eagles Finish the Job OKWU 9, Sterling 6
Saturday's finale brought Sterling's best punch, but the Eagles answered once again. Oklahoma Wesleyan built an early cushion, jumping out to a 6–0 lead through four innings thanks to home runs from JT Maloney, Gilbert Morales, and Braydon Caldwell.
The Warriors refused to fold quietly, mounting a late rally and closing the gap in the final frames. But each time momentum threatened to shift, Oklahoma Wesleyan responded. The bullpen bent but never broke, and Alan Covarrubias shut the door in relief to seal the win and the sweep.
