Salina, KS —
The Oklahoma Wesleyan Lady Eagles fell to Friends University on Thursday in the losers bracket of the KCAC Tournament.
In a game that remained scoreless through six innings, both teams relied on strong pitching and defense to keep things even. Addison Dorsay delivered a steady performance in the circle, holding Friends in check and keeping Oklahoma Wesleyan within reach throughout.
The Lady Eagles broke through in the top of the seventh inning, scoring a run to take a 1-0 lead. Friends responded in the bottom of the seventh inning, putting runners on and capitalizing late to push across two runs and secure the walk-off win.
Oklahoma Wesleyan finished with six hits in the contest, with Brooklyn Purtell leading the way with two. Kami Withem, Raegan Rector, Lailah Hernandez, and Bailey Gustus each added hits as the Lady Eagles applied pressure late in the game.
