Stefan Schenk serves on the Oklahoma Wesleyan University soccer staff as the goalkeeper coach for both the men’s and women’s programs and as the head coach of the men’s reserve (JV) team.
Originally from Germany, Schenk developed in the youth academies of FC Ingolstadt 04 and SSV Jahn Regensburg before continuing his playing career in the United States. He was a three-year starting goalkeeper and team captain at Rocky Mountain College and also competed at the USL League Two and NPSL levels. He gained additional coaching experience working with goalkeepers at a professional youth academy in Germany.
In Fall 2025, Schenk transferred to OKWU to pursue his master’s degree and play his final season of college soccer before transitioning into coaching with the program in January 2026.
Schenk’s coaching philosophy centers on player and character development, emphasizing discipline, accountability, confidence, and leadership. With goalkeepers, he believes in quality over quantity and strives to make each goalkeeper as efficient as possible. His training addresses the technical, tactical, physical, and mental demands of the position, including positioning, decision-making, distribution, and communication.
Schenk is passionate about creating an environment where players are challenged and supported in their development both on and off the field.
