OKWU Eagles | Oklahoma Wesleyan University Athletics

Ilkkan Deniz Sahin joined OKWU as a goalkeeper coach and a player in 2023.
 
Ilkkan began his soccer journey in Turkey before joining the Turkish Super League club Genclerbirligi and winning the Turkish U-19 Elite Academy League Tournament.
 
In the US, he contributed to Tennessee Wesleyan University's AAC Regular Season Championship and led the NAIA Division 1 in Goals Against per Game with being in AAC Second Team of the Year. He then transferred to Wayland Baptist University, where he excelled in the SAC Conference with being first place in GAA, SPG, and saves stats in conference, earning a place in the All-SAC Second Team of the Year. After, at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, he secured the RRC Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships.
 
Lastly, at Oklahoma Wesleyan University, Ilkkan contributed to KCAC Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships, and NAIA Nationals Semifinals.
 
Coming into the 2024/2025 season, Deniz will be coaching for his second season at OKWU.
 
Deniz graduated in Finance from LSUS and he is working towards his Master’s in Business Administration at OKWU.
