Kyle Liechti

Kyle Liechti is the inaugural Head Men’s Volleyball Coach at Oklahoma Wesleyan University, bringing a proven track record of building successful programs and developing high-performing student-athletes at the NAIA level.

Most recently, Liechti served as Associate Head Men’s and Assistant Women’s Volleyball Coach at Talladega College, where he helped launch Alabama’s first collegiate men’s volleyball program and the only HBCU men’s program in the NAIA. On the women’s side, he was instrumental in back-to-back conference championships, a program-record 31 single-season wins, and the school's first NAIA National Tournament appearance. In two years under his guidance, Talladega produced 4 Conference Players of the Year, 24 Conference Players of the Week, 12 All-Conference Team selections, 5 All-Tournament Team selections (1 MVP), 4 All-Region Team selections, and 2 All-American athletes.

Prior to Talladega, Liechti was an assistant coach at Dillard University, where he helped lead the team to an undefeated GCAC regular season and a runner-up finish in the conference tournament. During his single season, Dillard produced 9 Players of the Week, 4 All-Conference Team selections, 3 All-Tournament Team selections, and 2 All-Region Team selections. Liechti began his coaching career in Oklahoma as the head varsity coach at Stillwater High School and Executive Director of CRUSH Volleyball Club, where he cultivated a competitive culture and led teams to top finishes at regional and national tournaments.

A native of Iowa, Liechti is a 2018 graduate of Oklahoma State University, where he was a four-year starter for the men’s club volleyball team. He is a 2024 AVCA Thirty Under 30 Award recipient and was named the HBCUAC and AVCA NAIA Southeast Region Assistant Coach of the Year in 2024
