The OKWU Men's Soccer team looked to hit the ground running for the 2020 season as they would start if off on the road facing the Southwestern College Moundbuilders in Winfield, KS. Hit the ground running they did as they were locked in from the first whistle scoring 5 straight goals within the first 20 minutes of the game. Southwestern would answer with a goal of their own late in the first half. The Eagles wasted no time in the second half as they would quickly add another goal to their 5-1 halftime lead. OKWU would score 2 more times to secure the 8-1 victory over Southwestern.

Stefan Cvetanovic would lead the offensive attack as he found the back of the net 5 times and assited on another goal. Alex Lozano added in 2 goals and an assist of his own and Pol Mur also collected his first as an Eagle. Matheus Ferreria set the OKWU offense in motion as he assisted on 4 of the 8 total goals of the evening.

The Eagle will look to continue their strong play at home next Saturday, September 12th as they will host Sterling College for an 8 PM KCAC matchup.
