Box Score Salina, KS – The #9 Men's Soccer team was on the road for a conference match-up with the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes the night of October 13th. Looking to remain on top of the KCAC standings, the Eagles went on to take the match from the Coyotes 1-0.
A slightly chipper game from both teams, each team left the 90-minute game with 3 yellow cards apiece. Ending the game with a total of 28 fouls on the night, the Eagles fought through adversity to take the match-up.
Scoring the only goal of the game, Pol Mur was quick to the punch, scoring in just the 9th minute of the 1st half. Scoreless from both teams from that point on, the Eagles stepped up defensively and held the Coyotes in order to win the match. In the box for the Eagle, freshman goal keeper Oliver Scott was superb with a 100 save percentage against the Coyotes.
The Eagles outshot the Coyotes 15-5, with 5 shots on goal and 1 goal scored.
