Box Score Bartlesville, OK – The #11 Men's Soccer team was home on October 4th for a conference match-up with the Friends University Flacons. Original time of 8:00 PM kick off, the Eagles were forced to move the match up to 5:30 in order to get the match-up in before uncertain weather. Entering the match 6-1-3 overall, and 5-0-1 in conference, the Eagles looked to move back up in the standings overall.
Startling to play slightly chirpy, the Eagles and Flacons were fouled in the 32nd minute; ending in a red card by a Falcon, leaving them to play the rest of the match a player down. Following the red card from a Falcon, both teams were sent indoors due to weather. Now facing lightning delays for the next 3 hours, both teams resumed the game at 9:05 PM.
With 25 minutes left in the first half, and a resume play after a long delay, the Eagles jumped out on top and took control of the remainder of the game with 5 goals in the first half. Heading into the 2nd half with a 5-0 lead over the Falcons, the Eagles were strong and continued the scoring parade with two more goals in the 2nd half.
Pol Mur and Joao Neves had themselves a night on the offensive side for the Eagles. Pol Mur, shooting .500%, scored two goals for the Eagles off of four shots. Neves was superb for the Eagles, scoring 2 goals on two shots, ending the night with a perfect shooting percentage and 1 assist to lead the Eagles.
