The #8 Men's Soccer team was on the road for the KCAC Tournament Semi-Final game on November 8th, facing off against the #4 seeded Friends University Falcons. Defeating the Falcons 7-1 in regular season play, the Eagles looked to take another match from the Falcons in order to advance to the KCAC Tournament Championship.
Needing a win, the Eagles were the first to put a goal on the board. A goal on the board from Stefan Cvetanovic not only gave the Eagles the 1-0 lead, but also gave Cvetanovic his 137th career goal; making him the NAIA ALL-TIME GOALS SCORED LEADER. Scoring in the 20th minute, the Eagles looked comfortable and strong.
Pushing the pace, the Falcons switched the momentum with a goal in the 36th minute, following with another goal in the 69th to put them on top with 20 minutes left of regulation. With their backs against the wall and only 19 seconds left of play time, the Eagles once again came together with a scoring drive, tying the game 2-2 with only 19 seconds left.
Forcing an overtime, the Eagles and Falcons pushed the pace of the game and battled till the very last second. Ending the first overtime still 2-2, the teams were forced to enter the second overtime and look for a golden goal to end the match. In the 105th minute, senior Victor Crispim rallied past defenders with a goal, giving the Eagles the 3-2 lead with 5 minutes left tin the 2nd overtime. Looking to defend the Falcons with just 5 minutes left, the Eagles ended the match and took the game from the falcons for the second time this season.
