Box Score Bartlesville, OK – The #10 Eagles were back on their home field on the 22nd of September for a KCAC match-up with the McPherson College Bulldogs. Coming off of an 8-0 win over Bethel College and entering the match 4-1-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play, the Eagles looked to maintain their undefeated conference record and add another win to the win column.
The Eagles looked strong on both sides of the field, keeping the ball and oppurntity of scoring in their hands a majority of the 45-minute first half. Scoring in the first five minutes of the half, the Eagles offense carried the momentum of their previous game to this one. Going on to score 3 more goals in the first half and keep the Bulldogs scoreless. Heading into the 2nd, the Eagles outshot the Bulldogs 13-0 with 6 shots on goal.
Entering the 2nd half with a 4-0 lead over the Bulldogs, the Eagles were quick to get on the board once again. With his 3rd goal of the game, Joao Neves scored the 5th goal of the game 53 seconds into the half. At the 50th minute, the Bulldogs put together a quick drive, taking the ball down field and gaining their first shot of the game; resulting in a save from Eagles goal keeper, Oliver Scott.
Both teams getting a little chirpy from that point on, resulted in 2 yellow cards from each team. Ending the day outshooting the Bulldogs 29 to 2, with 17 shots on goal, the Eagles went on to take another KCAC match 5-0.
