The #2 Men's Soccer team hosted the Evangel University Valor on October 16
th for a mid-season conference matchup on their home turf. Looking to remain undefeated in conference play and keep their 9-game win streak alive, the Eagles jumped out quickly against the Valor and held control of the game throughout the entirety of the 90 minutes.
Scoring quickly,
Adrian Mejia and
Julian Tovar forced the ball upfield in order to score an early goal at 1:56 to give the Eagles the early lead. Scoring again in the 14
th and 18
th minute, the Eagles went on to take the lead 4-0 at the end of the 1
st half.
Heading into the second half with a comfortable 4-0 lead, the Eagles were not finished just yet. Coming off the bench eager to get the ball,
Kevin Petrmichl scored a goal in the 62
nd minute, assisted by
Pol Mur to give the Eagles another goal.
Taking a 6-0 victory over the Valor and 6 different Eagles scoring, the Eagles improve to 12-1 on the season and 6-0 in conference play. The Eagles outshot the Valor 26-5, with 16 shots on goal.
The Eagles are back in action this upcoming Saturday for a KCAC match-up against the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyotes for a 7:30 PM kick-off here in Bartlesville.
