The #6 Volleyball team was on the road October 2^nd to face off against the Avila Unviesrity Eagles for a midseason conference match-up. Heading into the match undefeated in conference play, the Lady Eagles looked to maintain their strong stride and be a force on the court against Avila.

Doing just that, the Lady Eagles defeated Avila in three quick sets, outscoring their opponent 75-47. Taking the first set 25-20, the Lady Eagles jumped on Avila early, while Avila forced the Lady Eagles to step up offensively in order to take the next two sets.

Dominating the final two sets, the Lady Eagles won the second set 25-17 and the third set 25-10. Leading the way offensively for the Lady Eagles, Evelyn Rohrberg and Maia Rubio were once again a force at the net; combining for 25 kills of the Lady Eagles 28.

Defensively, Sydney Collins and Maria Luisa Caycedo were excellent, accumulating 10 digs a piece. The Lady Eagles ended their night hitting .266 and keeping the Avila offense to a -.010 hitting percentage.

The Lady Eagles are back on the road this upcoming Saturday, for a match-up against the Sterling College Lady Warriors in Sterling, Kansas.
