The #5 Men's Basketball team hit the road tonight to start their long line of road games to Olathe, Kansas to face off against the MidAmerica Nazarene University Pioneers. With a season opening game for the Pioneers, the Eagles needed to stay sharp in the paint and keep a quick offense.
The Eagles started the game off firing, driving the ball to the paint and forcing quick turnovers for second chance attempts. Ending the first 20 minutes of play with a 13-point lead, the Eagles were smooth sailing and comfortable heading into the second half.
44-31 in favor of the Eagles at the start of the second, the Eagles pushed further to overtake the Pioneers 94-77 for a final score.

Dylan Phillip were show stoppers for the Eagles, both scoring 20 points in their time on the court.
Dylan Phillip was solid beyond the arc, shooting 100% in his 19 minutes of play, along with his 4 rebounds.
Along with Phillip and Talton Jr.,
Nick Bene lead the Eagles defensively with 9 rebounds and accumulated 10 points. The Eagles ended their 17-point victory shooting 52.7 percent in the paint and 100% from the free throw line.
The Eagles are back on the road this upcoming Friday for the Oklahoma City University Invitational.
