The #7 Women's Soccer team hosted the Tabor College Lady Bluejays for their final regular season game of the year on November 2
nd for a 2PM kick-off. Looking to take down their final conference opponent of the year, the Lady Eagles were offensively and defensively sound in their 6-0 win.
Starting off on the right foot, the Lady Eagles scored their first of six girls in just the 5
th minute of play. Off the foot of
Laura Gieseler, assisted by
Taylor Witthauer the Lady Eagles took the early 1-0 lead. This was just the start to the scoring parade, as Gieseler was electric in her play, scoring their second goal unassisted at 9:58.
A tricky play off a defender for the Lady Eagles in the 25
th minute of play gave the Lady Eagles the 3-0 lead with 20 minutes of play left in the first half. Heading into the second half with a 6-0 lead, the Lady Eagles were smooth sailing and confident with 45 minutes of play remaining. Scoring once more,
Laura Gieseler capped the Lady Eagles play with her final goal and a hat trick.
The Lady Eagles outshot the Lady Bluejays 32 to 3 with 25 shots on goal.
The Lady Eagles are back on the field this upcoming Tuesday to start the conference tournament as the #1 seeds.
