The No. 2 Men's Soccer team traveled to Wichita, Kansas early this week as they were set to participate in the NAIA National Tournament Final Site, as Stryker Stadium was set to host the Top 16 teams. Looking to start their final site play with a match-up against the Baker University Wildcats, the Eagles were eager to get back on the field, looking back on their strong finish last year.

On the absolute edge of our seats, the Eagles rallied through the first 45 minutes of play with strong possessions and multiple shots. Unable to score in the first from both teams, left room for a final 45-minute battle in the second. With just under 5 minutes left of play, the Wildcats were able to score the first goal of the game, causing the Eagles to trail 1-0. Their backs against the wall and very little time left on the clock, Nikita Pahkomov came in clutch for the Eagles, scoring the Eagles first goal and tying things up with an assist from Uros Rosic and Joao Gomes.

A tied game after 90 minutes of play resulted in the first of 2 overtimes; both teams working toward a golden goal. In the second overtime, at 101 minutes of play, Nemenja Vukovic with the dime pass to Pol Mur for the game 2-1, game winnings goal.

The Eagles advance to the Final 8 of the tournament, set for December 5^th at 4:00PM in Wichita, Kansas.
