The Department of Athletics at Oklahoma Wesleyan University is excited to announce their hiring of Darian Pleasant as the newest Head Cheer Coach.

Pleasant has an impressive background with the sport, beginning his collegiate career in 2010 at Oral Roberts University. After Oral Roberts, Pleasant continued his collegiate cheer career at Oklahoma State University as a member of the Large Co-ed Cheer Team for the Cowboys, where he won an NCA (National Cheerleading Association) Championship in 2015 with the Cowboys. Pleasant has coached competitive cheer and has been a tumbling instructor working with youth and young adults. He has a passion for helping those he works with to become great people and athletes, and he has a mission to see them attain skills and reach goals.

Pleasant currently lives in Tulsa with his wife and daughter.

While he works with cheer teams in Tulsa and surrounding areas, Pleasant also coaches Stunt the Sport for Broken Arrow Area Youth, leading them to their 2024 State Championship.
