#4 Men's Soccer was home on September 30^th for a Top 25 match-up against the #14 William Penn Statesmen.
 
OKWU with a hot start against William Penn despite multiple weather delays and hours of getting cold.
 
Kirill earns a PK for OKWU and shows grit when following up the blocked PK with a goal to start them off 1-0. After multiple opportunities from both sides, they went into halftime OKWU 1, William Penn 0.
 
William Penn came out of halftime ready to fight and scored a goal in the 47th minute from a corner kick to tie it up 1-1. In the 54th minute Kirill is sent off for a second yellow, leaving the Eagles down a man. In the 81st minute William Penn scored from inside the box to go up, 2-1. OKWU gives up a PK in the 85th minute to go down 3-1.
 
The Eagles faced some adversity the second half being forced to play a man down but they continued to fight the entire 90 minutes.
 
Despite the determination they showed, being a man down appeared to be too difficult for them to overcome. A rainy soccer game with lots of opportunities from both sides ends in a devastating 3-1 loss to give William Penn the win in the top 25 ranked match up.
 
 The Eagles look to bounce back against Midland University on September 11th.
