The #14 Women's Soccer team opened conference play on Wednesday night against the Southwestern College Moundbuilders in Bartlesville. Coming into the match-up 3-0-2, the Lady Eagles looked to earn their first official conference win on the season and show the KCAC why they came in as #1 in the Preseason Polls.
An outstanding display of effort made way for a Lady Eagles 3-0 victory over the Lady Moundbuilders. Offensively,
Tania Mocholi was once again superb for the Lady Eagles, scoring her first goal in the 19
th minute to give the Lady Eagles their first lead. With a goal at 19:30 the Lady Eagles responded immediately with another goal in the next 15 seconds off the foot of, once again;

Alana Doherty.
Quiet after the second goal, the Lady Eagles entered the final half with a 2-0 lead over the Lady Moundbuilders. With 11 minutes left of the 90,
Laura Gieseler was able to push through multiple defenders and score the third goal of the game, giving the Lady Eagles a 3-0 lead.
The win over the Lady Moundbuilders was an impressive defensive display led by
Elise Lofnertz and
Ana Chavez in the back field. With their strong defensive showing, the Lady Moundbuilders were unable to take a single shot throughout the 90 minutes of play against the lady Eagles.
A 3-0 win over the Lady Moundbuilders improves the Lady Eagles to a 4-0-2 record and a 1-0 start to conference play. The Lady Eagles are back in action this upcoming Saturday for a conference match-up against the Bethel College Threshers in Bethel, Kansas for an 11:00AM kick-off.
