The #4 Men's Soccer team was on the road on September 25
th for a conference match-up against the Ottawa University Braves. Coming into the match with a recent climb in the NAIA Coaches poll, the Eagles looked to remain on top and come out of the 90 minutes of play with a win.
Starting the match off with a back and forth change in possession, both teams were strong defensively, while the Eagles had a bit more edge offensively. Taking 6 shots in the first, the Eagles kept the Braves out of the box and didn't allow them to take shots in the first 45 minutes of play.
Heading into the final 45 minutes of play with a 0-0 game, the Eagles put together a solid run upfield in order to score the first goal of the game in the 65
th minute form
Kirill Pakhomov. With a 1-0 lead, the Eagles tried to continue their stride on the ball until the 73
rd minute with a goal response from the Braves. 22 minutes of play remained and both teams moved quickly in order to drive the ball into the box and create opportunity for goals.
With that in mind,
Pol Mur took the ball 20 yards out and passed it to
Tylor Guerrero Castillo for the Eagles 2
nd game leading goal. Five minutes of play remained as the Eagles maintained a 2-0 lead over the Braves and looked to close out another KCAC game. Taking the game 2-1, the Eagles improve to 6-1 on the season and their win streak improves to 4 games.
