The #9 Women's Soccer team was on the road September 25
th for their third conference match-up of the year, facing off against the Ottawa University Braves. Recently moving up in the polls, the Lady Eagles looked to continue their strong drive in conference play and come back to Bartlesville with another victory.
A back and forth battle between the two throughout the first 10 minutes of play led to the Lady Eagles rising above and scoring a goal at 10:49 off the foot of
Taylor Witthauer, assisted by
Linn Joelsson. With a 1-0 lead, the Lady Eagles continued to defend throughout the 1
st half in order to keep the Lady Braves off of the board.
Entering the second half with a small lead, the Lady Eagles played their game and hustled up the field in order to score their second goal in the 46
th minute with a goal from
Ana Chavez.
The Lady Eagles were fierce throughout he 90 minutes of play, outshooting the Lady Braves 27 to 5 with 10 shots on goal. With the win over the Lady Braves, the Lady Eagles improve to 6-0-2 on the season and remain undefeated in conference play.
The Lady Eagles are back on the road this upcoming weekend for a match-up against the McPherson College Lady Bulldogs on Saturday, September 29
th for a 1:00PM kick-off.
