Box Score Bartlesville, OK –
The #6 Volleyball team hosted the RV Ottawa University Braves on September 25
th for a competitive conference match-up yet again. The Lady Eagles entered the match-up 16-1 on the season, while the Lady Braves entered with a record of 5-5.
The Lady Eagles were quick to the punch in the first set of four, outscoring the Lady Braves 25-11 and setting the tone for the following set. Moving through the second set fairly quickly, the Lady Eagles once again jumped out on top and took the second set from the Lady Braves 25-14. With two strong sets from the Lady Eagles, set 3 looked to close out the match. This was until the Lady Braves found momentum early in the third with a 3-0 lead in order to come back and take a 25-22 set from the Lady Eagles.
Starting out a competitive back and forth fourth set, the Lady Eagles rallied together to take the lead late in the set in order to take the 25-19 victory.
Evelyn Rohrberg and
Maia Rubio were a dynamic duo for the Lady Eagles offense, combining for 43 of the 62 Lady Eagles kills.
Jordan Isbell ended her night with a career high 22 digs on the night for the Lady Eagles, along side 21 digs from
Maria Luisa Caycedo.
Sydney Collins showed up and showed out yet again for the Lady Eagles from the setter role, with 53 assists and 3 aces; Collins remains a force on both sides of the ball.
The Lady Eagles are back on the court on October 2
nd for a conference match-up against the Avila University Lady Eagles in Kansas City, Missouri.
