rd, looking to host William Woods University and Southwestern Christian University for an OKWU Tri-Match. With an 11-1 record, the Lady Eagles looked to add to the win column and continue on with their 7-game win streak.
Game 1 vs. William Woods University
25-21, 25-19, 25-18
Starting off the match-up as a back and forth battle, the Lady Eagles pushed through for a 5-point run to the the lead from the Lady Owls and never look back.
Evelyn Rohrberg and
Maia Rubio were offensive work horses for the Lady Eagles, both ending the game with 13 kills. Along with the two,
Maddy McKinney ended the 3 set with 7 kills on 15 attempts, hitting an impressive .400%.
Maria Luisa Caycedo was a force defensively for the Lady Eagles, ending her game with 12 digs; while
Sydney Collins was superb with 41 assists.
The Lady Eagles went on to sweep the Lady Owls and improved to 11-1 on the season.
Game 2 vs. Southwestern Christian University
25-11, 25-11, 25-10
Starting where they left off in their previous game, the Lady Eagles were dominant throughout the three-set win over the Lady Eagles od SCU. Outscoring them 75-32, the Lady Eagles offense was firing and smooth. An all-around effort from the Lady Eagles offense as the Lady Eagles combined for 40 kills and 9 service aces.
Sweeping SCU, the Lady Eagles improve to 12-1 on the season and gain ground nationally.
The Lady Eagles are back in action on September 14
th for the Ottawa University Invitational in Ottawa, Kansas.
