The #21 Lady Eagles were on the road for the John Brown University Invitational in Siloam Springs, Arkansas on September 5^th. Looking to face off against the #13 Embry-Riddle (Arizona) Eagles for a 5:00PM kick-off and a chance to compete against another Top 25 opponent.

Starting off the as a back and forth match-up between the two, both teams were able to gain strong possessions and take multiple shots. Taking advantage of a defensive slip up, Embry-Riddle was able to get on the board first with a goal in the 44^th minute.

Ending the first half scoreless, the Lady Eagles picked up their pace on the field and forced a goal in the 76^th minute off the foot of Tania Mocholi with an assist from Daniela Ortiz. With 14 minutes left, both teams took multiple shots, but the both defenses were strong in the remaining minutes; resulting in a 1-1 tie.

The Lady Eagles ended their 90 minutes of play with, taking 14 shots with 7 on goal. Defensively, starting goal keeper Carlota Alcalde was superb for the Lady Eagles in her 90 minutes of play; ending her start with 7 saves and giving up 1 goal.

The Lady Eagles continue their play at the John Brown Invite this upcoming Saturday for a 5:00 PM kick-off against the Missouri Valley University Lady Vikings.
